Sight Action is a community service that aims to provide information, teach new skills and provide access to specialist support and equipment.
The Highland and Islands Society for Blind People has a long history and is one of the oldest charities in the region. The charity provided services, including visiting services, to people who were visually impaired. The society has gone through a number of changes but the legacy continues today through the work of two operational companies Sight Action and Highland BlindCraft. Sight Action was established in 2010 to serve blind and visually impaired people in the Highlands and Western Isles by providing a number of services that will support and enhance their quality of life.
Sight Action provides additional services that help clients to be as independent as possible.
